NAIL CLIENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for booking a nail appointment with Lisa Jane at 'Lisa Jane Nails & Training' or at a third party venue under the umbrella of 'Lisa Jane Nails & Training'.

Please read the following terms & conditions set out which are held as agreed upon booking any appointment. All terms are binding. A link to these will be sent to each client upon booking in addition to being available on the website and social media pages. 

GENERAL

All services are suitable for anyone aged 16 years and over. Date of birth is requested on consultation forms, and photographic ID (drivers licence or passport) may be required. This is non negotiable due to a combination of personal preferences and insurance stipulations set out by my chosen insurance company.

All information whether details entered on the website (Ovatu or Lisa Jane Academy) in consultation forms (via Ovatu) or by any other means, will be protected under GDPR and held in strict regulation for a period of 7 years. Digital files are only accessible to essential parties and your details will never be passed to third party groups.

If you wish for me to communicate with anyone else regarding your appointment (a parent, friend, colleague or employer etc) you (the registered client) must give written permission to do so. Regardless of who paid for the appointment or booking fee, the registered client remains the main contact until written permission naming a permissable third party is received to info@lisajaneacademy.com 

Please ensure you send all queries regarding booking an appointment before purchase as once booking has occurred, cancelling and refunds are not possible. Questions may be directed to info@lisajaneacademy.com 

BOOKINGS & BOOKING FEES

All bookings must be made through 'the website' (Ovatu) via links provided upon booking 1st appointment.

Once a booking has been agreed, I will set you up on my booking system with a 'fake' appointment. This will enable you to move the appointment to whenever is suitable for you. Please alter your own bookings as you wish but try to keep cancellations and alterations to a minimum to avoid fees and disruption to my business. 

Please ensure you choose the correct services which must include REMOVAL if necessary (gel polish removal at a new gel polish appointment is included if the previous set was carried out by me) all other removals are chargeable and just be booked for timing. If you arrive with product on and have not booked removal, I may not have the time and therefore you will lose the booking fee paid and a reschedule will be required.

You must add the correct nail art or extra services on. Please do not leave them off because the booking system will not allow the time, then expect to ask for them once you arrive. If there is not available time to book on the system, there won't be time to do them when you arrive. 

You must let me know in advance of design ideas and colours you will require. I do not 'freestyle' and there is often not going to be time to choose a design within the appointment so please do have this decided before you come. 

I am a thorough tech, not a fast tech. If you require a time estimate for your appointment, let me know. Especially for clients booking nail art as this takes time. Please do not base timing expectation on other techs you have been to. I will not rush and if you aren't willing to wait for me to create, feel free to book a faster tech. 

A Non Refundable Booking Fee is required to set up booking your space in. This is set at 50% of your booked service. This will then be held against your booking and taken off the final price on the day of the appointment or you can hold this fee in place as a 'rolling deposit' and pay the balance in full. This can be decided on the day. If redeemed, another booking fee will need to be paid to secure the next booking. Until this has been paid your appointment is not confirmed. If you do not pay the booking fee, please do not turn up on the day. 

Booking Fees are not refundable under any circumstances. Appointments can be rescheduled and booking fees moved if more than 48hours notice is given. If less than 48 hours notice is received to reschedule, your booking fee will be lost and another will need to be paid. 

CANCELLATIONS

If you cancel outside of 48h notice, your booking fee can be held for up to 6 months against a new appointment. After this point, a new fee will need to be paid. 

If you cancel within 48h of your booked appointment, your booking fee will be lost and a new one will need to be paid to secure a new date. 

No shows (this includes on the day cancellation) will lose booking fees as well as the ability to book online. You will also be asked to pay 100% of the new appointment fee up front to secure the space after a no show.

If for any reason I need to cancel (which will only be in emergency) no fees will apply and I will contact you as soon as I know and get you re booked in ASAP.

CONSULTATIONS

Consultations and any forms asked of you are important to establish if I can provide safe nail services for you. They are also for insurance purposes. Please take your time and complete these to the best of your knowledge. Leaving anything out may result in complications for which I cannot be held liable. If anything changes during the course of our nail tech/ client relationship, please let me know so I can update your information. 

Failure to complete consultation forms or complete them properly will mean cancellation of your appointment.

PREMISES

  • 'Lisa Jane Nails & Training' is located inside 'The Cabin' at 22 Foresight Road, Colchester, Essex, CO2 8DR.
  • Once at the location, the Nail service area is located: through the driveway and down the left hand side of the house. Go through the open gate and into the garden. You will see a black wooden cabin. There is a step and door on the right hand side which you can access at your appointment time. Unfortunately the cabin is not currently wheelchair accessible. 
  • If you are coming by car, there are no parking facilities on my drive although you can block my driveway if you need to. The whole road had no restriction but please be aware of neighbours driveways etc. I cannot be held liable for parking tickets or fines incurred traveling to or from Appointments. I cannot be liable for any damage to your vehicle when visiting for your nail appointment. 
  • The whole property including all areas (except toilet areas) are covered by CCTV for staff and visitor safety. The recordings are kept within strict regulations of GDPR.
  • I am not able to accommodate clients bringing anyone with them to Appointments. If previously agreed (please reach out before booking) carers or assistance animals may be permitted if appropriate.
  • Please respect my neighbours or members of my family who may be present around or on the property. This includes behaviour, parking, noise, smoking, littering and anything else that may cause a problem. Please also respect the privacy of other clients you may cross.
  • When you reach the property, please come in at your nominated appointment time using the entry described above.  Please do not enter early unless agreed. 
  • I do not accept any liability for loss or damage to personal Belongings or clothes etc on my property. 

LATENESS

Please let me know with as much notice as possible if you are going to be late. I understand many clients travel in and can get caught in unexpected traffic or other delays. If I am able to, I will add the time onto the end, however,I reguarly run clients back to back or have other commitments so it is likely I may not be able to add more time. This will result in either a plain set (no nail art) or if you are more than 20minutes late, you may need to reschedule. If you need to reschedule due to your lateness, your booking fee will be lost and another paid before a new slot is offered.  It is best to check travel times, journey, location, parking arrangements and current traffic etc before you travel so you can adjust timings accordingly. Colchester traffic is bad at the same time every day, please plan accordingly. 

If, for any reason, I am running late, I will make up any lost time to you in person. 

IN APPOINTMENT

This information will be sent via email when you book.

  • What to wear: please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting nail dust,or nail products on. You may want to remove rings if you are concerned about dust etc getting into them. Jewellery removed must be kept on your person or in your bag. 
  • PPE : Personal protective equipment such as dust masks are available for use.  If you wish to bring your own, you are welcome to.
  • You must attend with clean hands and nails to all appointments. I have a sink and hand soap plus Sanitiser if you need to use it when you arrive. 
  • We are unable to stop for breaks in Appointments however, drinks are available including bottles of water and cans of soft drinks. Coffees and hot chocolate are available also. Each drink is charged at 50p which goes toward restocking these. 
  • Smoking & vaping are not permitted inside any part of the premises. Smoking breaks are not allowed, and if you smoke before or after your appointment please do so away from the front of my premises.

When working I use products from 'WowBao Nails'. This includes, gel polishes, builder gel, acrylic, acrygel, art products, tools and more. My lamps are from WowBao Nails and so have been tested to be compatible. 

NAIL FIX POLICY

If for any reason your nails break, crack, chip, lift, come off or something else happens that you do not expect, in the first instance please get in touch ASAP.

I offer a FREE fix policy for anything that occurs within 48 hours of your appointment (you must let me know AT THE TIME) If you let me know we'll after this point, the free fix will not apply. 

After 48 hours I am happy for you to book an appointment to get a fix although the following fees will apply. 

Each nail will be charged at 1/10th full set price.

There will be a set £8 fee for the base appointment before each nail is charged separately. This is to cover a 'tray fee' (set up of new tools etc)

you can book this through the online booking system. 

ALL FIXES OVER 48 hours are chargeable.

BEHAVIOUR

All clients must adhere to reasonable behaviour whilst with Lisa Jane. This includes being respectful of others at the premises, outside and online whilst talking about Lisa Jane. 

RETAIL GOODS

At the Cabin, there are lots of items for sale including products, wax melts, candles extras and more. I take cash, card payment or online payment through bank transfer or PayPal friends and family as well as my online store. I do not offer returns or refunds on any products only exchange in the case of a faulty item. This must be within 28 days of purchase.

RIGHT TO CHANGE POLICY

I 'Lisa Jane' reserve the right to alter these policies at any time to best suit the needs of the business.

RIGHT TO REFUSE

I 'Lisa Jane' reserve the right to refuse service to any client for any reason I feel would put myself in harms way, under duress or with damage to reputation. 

FAILURE TO ADHERE

Failure to adhere to any of these policies may result in you being removed as client or further fees being incurred.

REFUNDS

 I, 'Lisa Jane' at 'Lisa Jane Nails & Training' do not offer refunds on services under any circumstances. Once booked, you have been scheduled in and the service will be delivered as per agreement of booking and to these terms and conditions as binding. I will always endeavour to communicate a solution by means of reschedule or alteration. 

Any agreement to transfer a cost of booking to a voucher (only available under certain circumstances), will be minus fees from payment method (booking method fees etc) and admin charges already paid out from original payment.

If for any reason you are unhappy with anything, please put your concerns in writing to info@lisajaneacademy.com and I will get back to you.
