Training is in person only at my Academy in Colchester Town centre, Essex. The venue is downstairs and not wheelchair accessible.

Manicure is the starting block of every nail service. An absolute must to complete before going on to learn enhancement techniques like gel polish and acrylic.
You will be able to offer these luxury services to clients with or without enhancement. A real relaxation and pamper experience!
On this One day course, you will learn Manicure over 4 hours of in person training. Select how you would like to learn whether in a small group ot 121.
All your theory work is done online prior to coming for your hands on training in my private academy based in Colchester Essex. (Located at basement level with stepped access)
As a neurodiverse tutor and specialist in working with adults with barriers to learning, I cater to everyone who wants to learn, in their own learning style. Before you come to the course I will ask you to complete some forms to assess how your brain likes to process information best, and then I tailor the whole course to teach you in that way. There's also space to let me know about other things you may want to discuss, such as anxiety or difficulties with reading/writing. That way, together, we can find a way to support you best in your new exciting nail journey.
On this course we cover:
- Anatomy & Physiology including nail and skin disorders, diseases and other reasons why we may not be able to carry out nail services, or need to adapt services on clients.
- Health & Safety - this includes how to safely work for you and your clients, covering risk assessments, posture, COSHH and more.
- Salon Hygiene - how do we safely clean our work areas and tools as well as keeping ourselves to a professional standard.
- Salon Protocols - this looks at how we should operate as professional nail technicians/artists. We cover legalities, insurance and policy setting.
- Client Consultation & Aftercare - this is integral to ensuring client safety and suitability for service as well and keeping everything safe and within insurance guidelines.
- Manicure Training - looking at the basics of natural nail services and covering theory of luxury treatment with one demo and practice. This is the foundation of all nail services and integral knowledge to build your next courses from. We look at why people get manicures and how to upsell your luxury treatments, who to market to and offers to get you started with new clients. Lets find your niche together!
- Lifetime support - once you complete your online and in person training with me the support doesn't end there! You get online ongoing support whenever you need it via student groups and messaging. Top up and refresh sessions are available as well as videos and voice notes to refresh and parts forgotten or to help troubleshoot.
All courses are fully accredited by The Beauty Guild or Professional Beauty Direct which are nationally recognised and insurable.
Comes with £65 worth of products which are shown in the images and listed. These are given at the end of the day of training. If you need any more information about the kits, please let me know!
When booking you will be asked to choose 1 slot from the available calendar. Please choose a date you are definitely able to commit to as I get booked quite far in advance. Rescheduling may delay your training by several months.
