Acrygel or Polygel is the best of acrylic and hard gel but in a tube.
Do you want to offer a product as strong as acrylic but struggle with the smell of monomer or the fast setting time?
This product is a gel and acrylic hybrid comprising the strength of acrylic with the flexibility of gel and ability to cure in your own time with a UV/LED lamp.
On this course, you will learn Acrygel over 5 hours of in person training.
All your theory work is done online prior to coming for your hands on training in my private academy based in Colchester Essex. (Located at basement level with stepped access)
As a neurodiverse tutor and specialist in working with adults with barriers to learning, I cater to everyone who wants to learn, in their own learning style. Before you come to the course I will ask you to complete some forms to assess how your brain likes to process information best, and then I tailor the whole course to teach you in that way. There's also space to let me know about other things you may want to discuss, such as anxiety or difficulties with reading/writing. That way, together, we can find a way to support you best in your new exciting nail journey.
On this course we cover:
- Anatomy & Physiology including nail and skin disorders, diseases and other reasons why we may not be able to carry out nail services, or need to adapt services on clients.
- Health & Safety - this includes how to safely work for you and your clients, covering risk assessments, posture, COSHH and more.
- Salon Hygiene - how do we safely clean our work areas and tools as well as keeping ourselves to a professional standard.
- Salon Protocols - this looks at how we should operate as professional nail technicians/artists. We cover legalities, insurance and policy setting.
- Client Consultation & Aftercare - this is integral to ensuring client safety and suitability for service as well and keeping everything safe and within insurance guidelines.
- UV Light & Lamp Training - how to choose the correct lamp for your gel based system and why. This session teaches you how gel cures and why we need a specific lamp to ensure we are curing our gel safely and fully.
- Full Acrygel Services - we look at different hybrid gel systems, how to prep the nail and apply a good base for maximum adherence, neat acrygel application, mastering manipulating the product, finishing techniques and shaping. We move on to tip and length application and refining, then go on to what products can be applied as well as infill procedure and removal. We also look at troubleshooting each step.
- Lifetime support - once you complete your online and in person training with me the support doesn't end there! You get online ongoing support whenever you need it via student groups and messaging. Top up and refresh sessions are available as well as videos and voice notes to refresh and parts forgotten or to help troubleshoot.
This course will not accredit you to add gel polish over the top. If this is something you would like to do, I recommend you add a gel polish course into your basket and do both.
All courses are fully accredited by The Beauty Guild or Professional Beauty Direct which are nationally recognised and insurable.
Comes with £130 worth of products which are shown in the images and listed. These are given at the end of the final day of training. If you need any more information about the kits, please let me know!
When booking you will be asked to choose 1 slot from the available calendar. Please choose dates you are definitely able to commit to as I get booked quite far in advance. Rescheduling may delay your training by several months.
All courses are suitable for those over 16 years of age. Please choose whether you want to learn 121 or are happy to train in a small group of up to 6.
